Advanced Power Technology was approached by a prominent Naval Architect firm in NY to help design and specify unique deck mounted dual uninterruptible power systems. Our systems provide conditioned power to the new on-board navigation computer systems. The entire Staten Island ferry Fleet has two of these systems on each vessel.

Power Quality Challenge
Advanced Power Technology worked with engineers at NYDEP to design and supply switchgear and UPS Ni Cd low maintenance battery systems in this very large treatment plant. The battery system value exceeded $1.5 million and had more than 2400 individual cells rated at over 400 ampere hours. This huge battery system has been in trouble free service for more than 15 years and provides many hours of back-up power.

Advanced Power Technology worked with prominent NY City Based engineering firms and construction companies to supply the majority of large lead acid 125 vdc battery back up systems to operate the medium voltage switchgear in all of the new World Trade Center buildings.
We have also provided large redundant high power Ni Cd battery systems for very large multiple line ups of medium voltage switchgear installed at the NY Stock Exchange.
